Austin — Hello you in the tan S.U.
Reaching for phone as you stop to queue
Something new since the last stop light?
An email, a text, a new news bite?

You are I and I am thou
Except for the choice we made just now
I decided to leave devices
Stowed away like hidden mice-es

And instead to sing an unrushed song
As rush hour rushes right along
To take the plentiful oxygen in
And let the belly bellows begin

I sing to you through windows two
For you showed me what I do too
And loosed me from the torrid wires
To dance inside the singing pyres

Unrushed sounds like this
